SUMMARY:Storefront Snapshot Show:  Harold Wright & David Goss
DESCRIPTION:Storefront Snapshot Show – This program is intended to be a fill in for the popular Heritage Fair which was always held on February in the Market Square Atrium. \nThrough the co-operation of the Hardman Group\, Market Square and the Saint John Free Public Library\, David Goss and Harold Wright will look into their extensive collection of heritage photographs collected over the past five decades\, and offer 6 x 45 minute presentations on a variety of themes that will illustrate Saint John History on Saturday\, February 26th.  Located at Market Square\, 2nd Floor\, storefront next to Element5 Spa.  The shows will be staged hourly\, and preregistration is necessary to ensure a seat\, as the number has to be limited to 20 for each presentation\, all must be vaccinated and masked. Drops in will be welcome\, with the same conditions\, if space is available at the top of the hour for each presentation\, \nThe following will be the themes of each presentation: \n10.00am  Harold Wright: Historic Building that have passed. \n11:00am David Goss: The West Side Story \n12:00pm Harold Wright: Old Movies of Saint John \n1:00pm David Goss: The Rockwood Park Story. \n2:00pm Harold Wright: North End Saint John \n3:00pm David Goss: The Walk n Talk Story \nPre register by e mail at gosswalk@nbnet.nb.ca for the session or sessions you wish to book. \nThere is no fee thanks to the support of the above co-operating parties. \nGoss and Wright have more than a century of historic service in the community. They have been involved in wide range of heritage promotion activities.  Both have been honoured for their efforts by the American Association for State and of Local History and the City of Saint John Heritage Award.  Between them have written over 30 books reflecting on the story of Saint John.  Some of the books will be part of a display of Heritage themed books held by the Saint John Free Public Library at the storefront which can be borrowed by card holders just up the pedway to the library’s circulation desk. \nThis program is intended to be a fill in for the popular Heritage Fair which was always held on February in the Market Square Atrium\, but which the organizers felt would not be possible to do under present conditions. \n \n
