CANCELLED:  Buskers on the Bay 2020

In light of the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and the government’s priority of keeping Canadians safe, we have made the very tough decision to cancel the 30th Annual Buskers on the Bay Festival scheduled for July 15th – 19th, 2020.

“We are very disappointed to have cancelled one of the oldest festivals in Canada that is unique to our province.  Buskers on the Bay Festival is a signature event in our region and our community will definitely miss the exhilarating working acts, children’s activities and the extensive range of vendors that we had planned.  But the safety of our community is our first priority and we understand the importance to cancel all large events and mass gatherings to help minimize the spread of the virus”.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the Buskers on the Bay Festival at any point over the past 30 years and all of those who have sent in applications.  The volunteers, performers, and vendors are the ones who truly make our festival special and exciting.  It is definitely disappointing to have to make this decision but we have big plans to celebrate both our 30th & 31st anniversaries of the Buskers on the Bay Festival in 2021.

See you then, and stay safe!

One of the oldest festivals in Canada and unique to the province, Buskers on the Bay Festival is a signature event of our region. The unifying elements of Buskers are its roots and its most substantial quality; Buskers brings together a city and turns it into a community. Don’t miss an exhilarating lineup of working acts, children’s activities and an extensive range of vendors
