Saint John Ale House

Location: First Level

Saint John Alehouse offers outstanding food and beverages boasting 32 beers on tap, and the CASK IPA is brewed by Moosehead exclusively for us. Appetizers include delicious, freshly caught scallops and thick-cut potato chips (called kettle chips locally). Sports fans love the giant-screen TV and congenial atmosphere in the classic Irish pub on the main level; a more sophisticated dining experience can be had upstairs in the restaurant’s cozy, dim-lit booths.

To eat local is to eat with respect.

We are not just passionate about food, we respect where it comes from, how it’s prepared and most of all we respect the people we prepare it for. We utilize the local markets, the chef’s organic farm, artisan butchers, bakeries, fish mongers and even go direct to farms and local fishermen to find the freshest and the best food around. Our menu changes and evolves with the seasons, availability of products and the passionate curiosity of our staff.

Chef Jesse Vergen and his crew take advantage of local New Brunswick ingredients that are available from the land, and sea. We experiment with all seasonal ingredients including, fiddleheads, lobster, halibut, local lamb, beef, and cheeses to inspire our menu. From our in-house bread baking program, to making our own charcuterie, pickling vegetables, butchering whole animals and fish, or dry aging our beef on site, Chef Vergen and his team are always creating dishes that inspire.

Chef Jesse Vergen is a competitor on Top Chef Canada season 4
